‘Fruit of the Spirit … Meekness’ (thoughts shared by Karen Pace, Consultant for Georgia WMU/WEM)–Isn’t it interesting how differently we all see things?  Even among believers, views can be drastically different.  It is funny how a word like meekness (poor, afflicted, humble) is a weakness to some or a point of bragging to others–causing arrogance!  When we look to God’s Word, His Spirit is teaching truth, revealing sin, encouraging obedience, affirming the activity of God and more.  As we end our focus this month on meekness, Psalm 25:9 speaks of meekness as who we are— “He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way.”  (NASB) His Word is...

Call to Prayer for March 6, 2017

‘Fruit of the Spirit is Joy…’ (thoughts shared by Daphne Youngblood, Support Staff for Georgia WMU/WEM) – For the month of March, we will be sharing about Joy. Last month we talked about how love was given to us first by God and how that changed our hearts and how we love others. I will share how Joy has a major part in how we glorify the Father along our journey. As we live out life on mission, as well as our daily walk, what do others see? Do they see someone that is joyfully responding as the Lord would?  We must be aware that what is inside our hearts will come out in life.
