Call to Prayer for August 27, 2012

As we wake up this morning, Hurricane Isaac is showing his power across the Gulf of Mexico.  The word ‘power’ brings lots of thoughts to our minds.  As with Hurricane Isaac, it can bring thoughts of uncertainty and destruction.  The power of words can also do the same; however they can also bring hope and comfort.   Yesterday the ladies in my Sunday School class studied Psalms 19 as we talked about the power of God’s words and how He speaks to us.  The first three verses tell us that ‘The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.
